You can keep this party going, but it is a bit stressful, unless you know exactly what you are doing. And if you lose a companion, you may start a cascade of losses, as the companion who was being kept happy by the lost one leaves, followed by the next in the chain. Companions angered by withdrawals, food shortages, support missions (and Heaven forbid heavy losses or defeats) will keep the resentment simmering for a while.
Every dislike is balanced by a like, but this means that there is no automatic morale 'healing'.
